Hi! I’m Claire: mum of four, outdoor enthusiast, hat lover and rom-com-action movie fan addict (sorry).
I am also owner of Claire de Lune. Five years ago, my husband, three boys and I bought a run-down long retired dairy farm in Staplehurst, Kent. It proved to be life changing. I became pregnant with our daughter soon afterwards and following her arrival, decided to change the direction of my professional life.
I am a qualified Design Engineer and before creating elegant wedding cakes and treats, I taught Mathematics in various schools for 15 years. This taught me to be calm under pressure and the need to be flexible and adaptable, no matter what the situation.
I love making sugar flowers and including modern techniques on my cakes. I find inspiration in nature, clothing and always make cakes as unique as you are. You will find me friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make your dream cake into a reality.
